The Path of Least Resistance

Note: Although this isn’t one of my best posts by far, it is one that comes from great self-reflection and was written on a lazy day and with a hangover. Just to put it in perspective. Enjoy!

Life is hard. Sometimes life throws you curveballs that you don’t expect. Everything can be going smoothly and bam! You get hit in the face with a softball or even worse, a baseball, or an eighteen wheeler. Or sometimes you are just too tired, too stressed or too busy that life just seems harder then it should be. As great as I seemed on my last post about Success, some days I want to hide. I want to run away from the chaos that is my life. Some days I want to EAT my way through the pain and try to ignore it. Sometimes I just need a stiff drink. And on most days, all I need is a good workout. Hallelujah to those days!

Sometimes eating is so much easier then going to the gym. In the war of Cheesecake vs. Workout, cheesecake usually wins. The path of least resistance.

From Wikipedia: The path of least resistance is used to describe certain human behaviors. Resistance is often used as a metaphor for personal effort or confrontation; a person taking the path of least resistance avoids these.

So in Cheesecake vs. Workout. Cheesecake is the path of least resistance.

When life throws you a curveball you can just dig your head deep in the dirt or you can pick yourself up and throw the ball right back.

I will not take the path of least resistance. Running away from life just makes you miss out on some of the best parts of it. Including cheesecake.
