Today’s post isn’t about training… Day 3 we did a trail run and day 4 was a rest day. Not much to say except… don’t forget those hills…
Today I want to focus on doing what you love. Following your dreams.
Build it and they will come.
It has taken me a long time to get where I am today. Part of me wishes I would have done this 10 years ago but obviously something inside me was holding me back. The time wasn’t right. But it is now. Things are slowly unraveling the way that I want them to and it feels great. Part of me wonders what I would have done if I did this 10 years ago but that is totally useless. They haven’t invented a time machine yet…
You can’t live with regret but only move forward and learn from your mistakes.
You can’t FORCE things to happen, they will come when they are meant to. You can work hard in the direction you want to go, and do your best, but you never know what the present or the future will bring.
It reminds me of my early sleepless months with my first born. He would only sleep in a swing for the first months. I worried, I googled, I tried everything to get him to sleep in a bed, and nothing worked. I kept trying and trying and eventually, one day, he slept in his crib. All my overthinking, reading and worrying did no good except give me anxiety (have you ever known any grown person who sleeps exclusively in a battery powered swing).
I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but today I am celebrating. Celebrating where I am, and how far I have come. Trying not to expect too much for tomorrow or over think what the next step will be. All I know is that it is all meant to be. The good, the bad and the ugly.
So here is what I wish you would learn from my post:
1) DON’T FORGET THOSE HILLS!!!!
2) Don’t overthink it. Just do it. Nike had it right all along. Whoever came up with that slogan was a genius.
BTW Tomorrow’s workout is going to be a KILLER! Watch out!
